George Lucas, USA 1973, English version / Czech subtitles, 112 min

A groundbreaking "New Hollywood" classic of the 1970s from writer-director George Lucas. A nostalgic look at the radio and car culture of early 1960s America, accompanied by a hipster Greek chorus provided by inimitable disc jockey Wolfman Jack. Set on one night in an innocent time in America's past, before Vietnam and the Beatles, when carefree teenagers listened to a never-ending stream of hits on disc jockey radio and cruised the streets in big cars looking for thrills and romance. Produced by Francis Ford Coppola and with cinematography from Haskell Wexler, it was also the first soundtrack-driven feature film, featuring a star-studded ensemble cast including Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss and Ron Howard in their first notable roles.
