In the wake of a disaster that changed the world, the growing and genetically evolving apes find themselves at a critical point with the human race.

Caesar is the chimpanzee, who we met three years ago in the highly successful film "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". That time he was the first of the great apes who received extremely high intelligence due to unauthorized attempts to have a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Smart ape became a sensation but presaged a fundamental revision of the perspective of who is the true master of creation. The story "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" begins ten years after Caesar with a pack of other apes escaped and hid in the deep woods near San Francisco. Humanity in the meantime was almost decimated by aggressive virus, which first symptoms appeared at the end of the first part. Those who survived the pandemic virus, collapsing world built other unexpected hurdles. Territory released by people got gradually occupied by a nation of genetically altered apes, led by Caesar. Ceasar´s kingdom got the strength and skills, gradually creating a new civilization governed by new laws and regulations; the Earth civilization without people - Planet of the Apes. People who survived try to disrupt the growing dominance of the apes and return to the top of the evolutionary ladder. A struggle for power begins. Who will be the governing animal species on Earth. Both parties do reach a fragile truce, but only briefly. Tensions between human and ape community is growing, and growing is also a struggle for power within both groups. This tension can only be resolved by a fatal clash that decides who´ll become a ruler of the planet Earth.
