Every metropolis has its dark corners where some people have to live — lonely, unhappy, desperate, homeless, friendless. One night a young man appears among them who has come to Athens from god knows where. He gets off a bus, sleeps at the bus station, and goes to look for work the next morning. The best job he can find is as a pizza delivery boy — that is, if he can quickly find his way around a modern megalopolis that never sleeps. He rides his scooter through the streets delivering boxed pizzas and silently listening to dejected, angry and unwanted people talk about their lives. These people came to the city looking for happiness but sank into its depths, with only dreams left to comfort them.
