This year’s eighteen competition films selected from almost 1,000 submitted works are as diverse as films can possibly be. They are a perfect demonstration of cinematographic diversity and the limitless form of film talent. Ten films from Europe, three from Oceania, four from North and one from South America are a bit of a trip around the world, but mainly they are very different from your usual films and not only because of the age of the filmmakers.
